Lovely L'Wren

Whoever said beauty and brains don't go together obviously doesn't know L'Wren Scott.

On second thought, you may not know her name either but I am sure that you have seen her work on starlets like Nicole Kidman.

L'Wren is a former model from Utah who stands 6'4....yes she is 6'4. She was Thiery Mugler's muse for many years due to her unique features and worked with many other Parisian fashion houses. L'Wren latter transitioned into fashion styling due to her design exposure and grew reputation for having an amazing fashion aesthetic.

Now she's a full fledged designer since late 2007 and the long time girlfriend of Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger. Yup...she's the woman who conquered his heart. She always is the go dress maker for many starlets and has been since her launch.

L'Wren's style is very lady like and simple with a strong focus on The Dress. Her aesthetic is lady like with an edge. She's always classic but with a twist.

Look for her designs across the world in select luxury boutiques. L'Wren wants her brand to stay "small, intimate and personal" so she can focus on details and tailoring.

SWEET GEORGIA MAY

What happens when two fashion icons get together and marry?

Georgia May is what happens!

Specifically, Georgia May Jagger and she is the daughter of famous model Jerry Hall and rock star Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones.

You may not recognize her now but she in one to watch with many brands such as Rimmel, Hudon Jeans and Versace celebrating her unique look.

The High cheek bones. The gap teeth. The full lips. The curvy body. All reminiscent of Bridget Bardot mixed with a BoHo edge.

I love when traditional beauty is challenged, celebrated and embraced.

Robert Palmer and those Red Lips!

Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" video produced one of the most iconic Fashion styles in
Music video history.

We all remember the red lips, little black dresses, dark smokey eyes and slicked black hair. Trully a Goth Rock Goddess!

Several current high fashion campaigns are paying homage to Palmer's 1986 video featuring identical styling.

Some looks are eternally iconic....even if its from 1986.

Fashion's Night Out

Today is the 2nd annual Fashion's Night Out (FNO). Imagine a night of shopping around the world where fashion shows, parties, promotions, and giveaways were plenty- all in the name of charity (The New York City Aids Fund to be exact!). On September 10th from 6-11pm, around the globe, coming back for seconds after a worldwide successful 2009 launch, Fashion’s Night Out was birthed from a collaboration with Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York.

In New York alone, over 1,000 participants have already signed on to join in the event. Across the country stores in over 100 cities will celebrate on September 10.

My favorite's events to see are:

- Chanel's new SoHo store designed by famed architect Peter Marino

- Ace Hotel and Opening Ceremonies Parisian Flea Market

- Barney's on Madison selling a limited edition Alexander Mcqueen Scarf

- Screaming Mimi's and their "Racks of Love"
