Yellow Fever

Summer is officially here and yellow is the official color for the season.  Yellow signifies happiness and joy.

Citron yellow is just on the verge of being fluorescent, which is why we love it — this shade is b-o-l-d. Adding a citron yellow piece to your wardrobe is sure to brighten up your whole look and, as a bonus, will instantly make your skin look more tan — no fake-baking required!

Whether it's mustard, canary, it's mustard, pale banana, taxi cab, or gleaming gold, expect to see yellow tones on dresses, jewelry, hand bags and even jeans this season.

And when it comes to diamonds, canary is the way to go.

If you don’t think that yellow quite suits your complexion and coloring then you can opt to still stay on trend by incorporating this color into your accessories.  A great pair of yellow pumps or a bright yellow clutch is sure to keep you looking fashionable this season.  Yellow accessories look great with black and white and help to dress up an otherwise boring outfit.

This trend can be worn many different ways whether it be a full yellow dress or just some accents of yellow in accessories.

Nail It!

Cartier Nails It again w/ the relaunch of the "Juste Un Clous" collection designed by Aldo Cipullo.

Aldo's "Just Un Clous" collection  takes inspiration for the functional nail and nail head.  Yes, the tool used to hang pictures and secure many household items.

You may not know who Aldo is but I'm sure you are familiar with his work.  He created the coveted LOVE bracelet and ring worn by so many of us and his designs from the 70's are the most collected pieces in Cartier's archive.

Aldo's work is extremely modern with a little rock and roll while being very chic. The relaunch of his collection presents an opportunity for us all to own a piece of history and create your own personal jewelry archive.

Varsity Jacket

The varsity jacket has a rich history in sports and often is called a "Letterman" jacket. The classic style evokes the Pink Ladies from Grease. However, 2012 offers more refined or urban silhouettes for those who love stiletto's more than sports.

Ladies, try the varsity jacket with a fitted knee length skirt for a tough chic look. Personalize if possible with your initials or even try a pastel color for a feminine touch.

Try this trend for a modern take on the sexy tom boy look.

Colored Bottoms

Got the blues? Try colored denim for a change!

There are a ton of colored pant options this season in bright shades from pastels to neon's and even primary colors. They make a great pop to your wardrobe and can be worn throughout the entire spring/summer season.

Men should participate in this trend too and express their colorful side in chinos, jeans and shorts.

Try a nautical look with red jeans and a navy blazer or a massive color block moment styled with a solid colored top for a true fashion statement.

Either way, pack up the black pants and blue jeans and wear COLOR!

Spring is quickly approaching and now is the time refine your wardrobe.

Sherbert and pastel colored clothing are a great way to transition your Fall/Winter neutrals into Spring..

Try a sherbert colored jean with a navy blazer for a perfectly peachy look or a pastel colored light weight cashmere sweater with your favorite grey pants. Feeling adventurous, try head to toe complementary pastel shades for a fearless look. PAISLEY PERFECTION

Spring is on the horizon and prints are a perfect way to add a punch to your solid colored basics for the season.

Paisley is my favorite pattern for Spring 12 with it's organic style and retro feel. Jill Sander showed an amazing collection full of paisley clad women that looked they just stepped out of a Fellini Film. Effortless, sexy and nostalgic.

Wear paisley as an accent if your a little more conservative. Try a scarf, sunglasses, wedges or even a paisley pant with a classic white shirt.

Whatever your choice, just wear Paisley this Spring for a fresh feel.

The Choclat Factory - Spain

Who ever said "it what's on the inside that counts" never has been to "The Choclat Factory" in Spain.

The chic chocolate emporium has been around since 1997 and makes a brand distinction with their unique/whimsical packaging and unique store interior. Bold graphics, honest and simple copy and understated colors define their packaging. As for the shopping experience, imagine your favorite European bakery in a Giorgio Armani Casa interior......this is the experience.

The unique thing about "The Choclat Factory "is they create an amazing experience with site, sound and taste in the first 45 seconds of walking into any of their stores. Trust me, I've been in enough over this past Holiday and have the extra pounds to thank for my visits.

Make "The Choclat Factory" a stop on your next visit to any of Spain major capitals.
